台湾中时新闻网等台媒消息称，台湾佛光山开山宗长星云法师圆寂，前国民党主席洪秀柱12日中午到佛光山吊唁，被问及大陆官方吊唁团未获准入台一事，洪秀柱叹了一口气说：唉，我想不谈也罢！只是说很遗憾！
据中时新闻网报道，洪秀柱表示，大师的离去，大家都非常不舍，但是不舍、哀悼，倒不如遵照大师生前的教诲，经常“做好事、说好话、存好心”，也希望为政者、尤其是“政府”，要记得四给：“给人民信心、给人民希望、给人民欢喜、给人民方便”。只要做好这“三好”、“四给”，我们的社会才会更和谐、未来才会更幸福、更有前景。
洪秀柱说，大师生前特别提到融和，尤其是两岸融和。融和就要互相交流、沟通、换位思考，彼此替对方想，给人家方便，带给人民希望，这是未来两岸必须共同努力的方向。
报道称，有媒体向洪秀柱问及国台办、统战部、中国佛教协会组成的吊唁团无法来台吊唁星云法师一事，洪秀柱叹了一口气说：“唉，我想不谈也罢！就是（看）是不是、有没有给人家方便、有没有给人家欢喜，只是说很遗憾！”
国台办发言人朱凤莲2月11日表示，由于民进党当局阻挡，大陆吊唁星云法师代表团无法赴台。大陆有关方面将调整吊唁行程，2月12日赴佛光山祖庭江苏宜兴大觉寺吊唁星云法师。
2月12日下午3点，大陆吊唁团在佛光山祖庭江苏宜兴大觉寺吊唁星云法师。吊唁团团长、中央台办、国务院台办副主任龙明彪，中央统战部有关机构负责同志，中国佛教协会会长演觉及星云故乡江苏省各界代表出席吊唁仪式。
